1. Introduction
CKF Tools ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal fitness, nutrition, and workout tracking web application designed to help users aggregate and visualize their fitness data, strength training progress, MyFitnessPal food diaries, and Google Health / Fitbit activity metrics.
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use CKF Tools.
2. Information We Collect
CKF Tools only collects information that is strictly necessary to provide the features you explicitly choose to use:
-
Account Information: When you register an account with CKF Tools, we collect your email address and an encrypted password hash to secure your login sessions and personal settings.
-
Google Health & Fitbit Data: If you connect your Google Account, we access your authorized fitness data via Google Fit, Health, and Fitbit APIs. This may include workout activities (type, start/end timestamps, duration), heart rate readings (bpm, TCX trackpoints), steps, active calories burned, sleep logs, and your profile age/birthdate (used strictly for calculating personalized maximum heart rate and heart rate effort zones).
-
MyFitnessPal Diary Data: If you connect your MyFitnessPal username (and optional diary key), we retrieve public or key-shared food diary entries, calorie totals, and macronutrient breakdowns (carbohydrates, fats, proteins) to display your daily nutritional targets.
-
Strength Training & Workout Logs: Any workout routines, lift weights, reps, completed sets, and workout notes that you enter directly into the application.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used solely to provide and enhance your personal tracking experience:
- To calculate effort percentages, Myzone Equivalent Points (MEPs), and time-weighted heart rate zone distributions.
- To display daily calorie burns, active exercise estimates, and weekly challenge progress.
- To synchronize nutrition data and show daily macro goals against actual intake.
- To save your workout history, personal records, and custom user interface preferences.
4. Google API Limited Use Disclosure
Google API User Data Policy Compliance:
CKF Tools' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, market research, training generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or any purpose other than providing user-facing fitness tracking features within CKF Tools.
5. Data Storage, Security & Sharing
We never sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal or health data with third parties or data brokers.
- Secure Storage: All user data and tokens are stored in an isolated, private database with encrypted session management and hashed credentials.
- No Third-Party Analytics / Trackers: We do not embed third-party marketing trackers, advertising networks, or user profiling scripts.
- No Unrelated Data Transfers: Your health and fitness metrics remain within your private account and are only transmitted between your browser, our secure server, and the official APIs you authorize (Google and MyFitnessPal).
